KINESIOLOGY

WHAT IS IT?

Kinesiology uses muscle tests to diagnose, balance and heal the body.  Different muscles are associated with different body systems, emotions etc and they become stronger or weaker when your body is challenged e.g., when you have a shock or eat something that disagrees with you.

WHAT CAN IT HELP?

Problems such as digestion, IBS, ME, candida, food sensitivity and depression.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What happens during a treatment?  The therapist will test the resistance in certain muscles e.g. by pushing down on your arm while you hold it straight in front of you. In this way they can tell if there is an imbalance in a corresponding area of your body, if you are sensitive to anything and if the problem stems from an emotional, structural or a nutritional cause.  In other words kinesiology gets to the root of the problem.

Is it a test of strength? – No, the therapist tests your ability to hold a specific muscle firm when challenged with something that may be affecting you.  A common effect that shows this principle is when someone has an unpleasant surprise and they say “you could have knocked me down with a feather!” – the shock has made their leg muscles briefly waver.

Your Kinesiologist is Yvonne Fearnsides.
